B2Bacco
Wholesale order to cash, built for cigar and tobacco manufacturers.
B2Bacco runs a manufacturer's wholesale business with licensed retailers in one system: taking the order, picking and packing it, shipping it, invoicing it, and collecting payment. It's built and run by MTRC, and each manufacturer works in its own space on a shared platform.
Status: going live with its first manufacturer in November 2026, with weekly releases through December.
Built around a regulated shipment
Tobacco wholesale isn't generic e-commerce. Every order goes to a licensed retailer, and every package ships with adult signature required. B2Bacco handles allocation, backorders, and kit assembly, then the pick and pack, with labels created through UPS WorldShip and tracking numbers scanned back against the order. The day closes with an end-of-day tie between what shipped and what was billed.
One order, every person who touches it
Customer service enters and manages orders. The warehouse picks, packs, and ships. Accounting takes payments, issues credits, and works the aging report. Field reps order for their own customers from a phone. Each sees the part of the order that's theirs, and every price override is recorded with who made it and why.
Leave the old system without a big-bang migration
A manufacturer's old ERP becomes a read-only archive. Accounts move into clean records in B2Bacco the first time someone works them, so the move happens customer by customer, without a weekend of data conversion and without carrying old mistakes forward.
Payments and books in the manufacturer's own accounts
Cards run on the manufacturer's own payment gateway and its saved cards: authorized when the order is packed, captured when it ships. Retailers get confirmations, shipping notices, and invoices with a pay link by email, and a retailer portal follows. Postings go to the manufacturer's own general ledger.
Built with
TypeScript throughout: a Next.js console, a Fastify API that is the only path to the data, PostgreSQL, and a phone screen for field reps.
