How we build

1. Paid discovery

A short, fixed-fee engagement before anything is built. We learn how the operation actually runs, who touches the information, and where it breaks today. Then we answer the first question honestly: is custom software the right answer, or is there a product that would do?

You get: a written discovery report, the recommendation, and, if it's a build, a fixed-scope quote for the first phase.

Discovery protects both sides. Scope risk becomes a paid question instead of a surprise, and an estimate built on guesses never becomes a promise.

2. Phased build

The work is split into fixed-scope phases. Each one ends in working software you can use and test, not a progress report. Between phases, we adjust the plan to what we've learned.

What we pay attention to:

  • The operation, not the screen. Software should reflect how the work really happens: the handoffs, the exceptions, and who is allowed to do what.
  • What happens when something goes wrong. A lost response, a duplicate request, a correction after the fact. Uncertainty gets handled on purpose, not discovered in production.
  • One source for each fact. Information is entered once, where it belongs, and used wherever it's needed.
  • Engineered for the busiest day. Built for the load it will carry in season, with room to grow.

3. Launch and handoff

Tested, documented, and running in accounts you own: hosting, domain, content system, and code. The people who will support it are involved before launch, not introduced after. A simulation proves the software; on-site rehearsal proves the operation, and we do both before cutover when the work touches devices or the front line.

4. Care

Optional ongoing support: hosting, updates, monitoring, and small improvements. If you'd rather have someone else maintain it, the documentation and the standard tools mean they can.

Fast to respond, careful to decide

You'll hear from us quickly, but the first idea is rarely the right one. Complex problems get layers of decision-making before they get code.
